Like Martin, Gibson is an American Guitar
company that has been around for many years. They produce both
acoustic and electric guitars, however they are more widely known
for the Les Paul, an electric guitar that has often been the ax
of choice for every major band for the last 50 years.
In their acoustic line, I have only played
one guitar, the J-45. It is their standard acoustic, with rosewood
back and sides, and a spruce top. Below are some specs about this
guitar from the Gibson website. Although it is a quality built
guitar, it does not make its way to guitar stores, as these stores
usually stock more Martin's, Taylor's, and Gibson electrics.
