The most widely known name in music is
Marshall. Marshall amps are undoubtedly the best on the market,
and they are used by the majority of bands. I personally have
played everything from Marshall practice amps to their Mode Four
full stack. The amp pictured is the Valvestate 80V model 8080.
It has a single 12" celestion woofer that has 80 watts of
power pushing it. It has two channels plus reverb, and comes with
a two button footswitch. For a combo amp of this size, it makes
a good option to having to carry around a half or a full stack.
When used in conjunction with a PA system, it provides plenty
of sound and power.
As far as using a PA system, I would recommend
Peavey speakers, expecially their SP series. These are good quality
PA speakers, and are not that heavy(this can be a problem!!).
Hook these up to a Behringer or Mackie powered Mixer for an amp,
and you will have one hot system. This system will easily support
enough volume and sound for any small size venue (such as your
local bar or restaurant). I personally prefer amps that have more
than 4 channels, so as to support all your electronics, and have
a backup channel in case a fuse blows.ish Gloss
